Return, Replacement & Refund Policy
General Policy
At Besotted By Pearls, every piece of jewelry is handcrafted, hallmarked, quality-inspected, and prepared specifically for each order. Due to the nature of our products and hygiene considerations, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations except in cases where the product is received in a damaged condition.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Return, Replacement & Refund Policy.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

Jewellery that has been worn, used, altered, resized, repaired, or damaged after delivery.

Products returned without original packaging, certificates, tags, invoices, or accompanying materials.

Products showing signs of misuse, mishandling, improper storage, accidental damage, or unauthorized modifications.

Orders returned due to personal preferences, change of mind, dissatisfaction with design, colour variations, size preferences, gifting decisions, or delayed delivery caused by circumstances outside our control.

Earrings and other personal-wear items where return may raise hygiene concerns, except where required by applicable law.

Custom-made, personalized, engraved, or made-to-order jewellery.
Reporting Damage
If you receive a damaged product, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by email and provide:

Order number.

Clear photographs of the outer packaging.

Clear photographs and videos of the damaged product.
-
Unboxing video showing the sealed package being opened.
Failure to provide reasonable evidence of transit damage may result in rejection of the claim.
Return Authorization
No return shall be accepted without prior written approval from Besotted By Pearls.
Submission of a claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a return, replacement, or refund. Each claim will be reviewed and verified before approval.
Return Conditions
Where a return request is approved:

The product must be shipped back within 7 calendar days from the date return authorization is issued.

The product must be returned in its original condition, unused, unworn, and with all original packaging, certificates, tags, invoices, and accessories.

The customer shall bear all return shipping, insurance, handling, customs, duties, taxes, and related expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method. We are not responsible for products lost or damaged during return transit.
Inspection and Verification
Upon receipt of the returned item, we reserve the right to conduct quality inspection, authenticity verification, hallmark verification, weight verification, and condition assessment.
A return, replacement, or refund may be refused if:

The product returned is different from the item originally sold.

The product has been tampered with, altered, repaired, resized, cleaned, polished, or modified.

Certificates, tags, packaging, or identifying marks have been removed or damaged.

The reported damage is determined to have occurred after delivery.

Fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity is detected.
Refunds
Refunds will only be considered after:

The returned product is received by us.

Inspection and verification are successfully completed.

The claim is approved by our quality review process.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after approval.
Shipping charges, payment gateway fees, customs duties, taxes, insurance charges, and other non-refundable service costs may be deducted from the refund amount where permitted by applicable law.
Replacement at Company's Discretion
Where appropriate, we may choose to repair or replace a damaged product instead of issuing a refund.
The decision to provide a replacement, repair, store credit, or refund shall be made after review of the circumstances and applicable consumer protection requirements.
Refusal of Claims
We reserve the right to reject claims that are:

Submitted outside the prescribed timelines.

Unsupported by adequate evidence.

Fraudulent, misleading, or abusive in nature.

Based on normal wear and tear.

Based on minor variations in colour, texture, lustre, shape, or natural characteristics of pearls and gemstones.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any approved claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
Under no circumstances shall Besotted By Pearls be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or economic losses arising from the use or inability to use the product.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Return, Replacement & Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and shall be subject to local jurisdiction.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the purchase of products, return requests, replacement requests, refund claims, or interpretation of this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Before initiating any legal proceedings, the customer agrees to first contact Besotted By Pearls and make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute amicably.
Nothing in this clause shall limit any rights available to consumers under applicable consumer protection laws.
