Somewhere along the way, pearls became confined to a certain image — traditional, occasional, even something only older generations wore.

I wanted to change that story!

Hi, I am Ilu, founder of Besotted by Pearls — a modern pearl jewelry brand born from my love for timeless elegance and handcrafted artistry.

I created Besotted by Pearls with the belief that pearls can be modern, effortless, versatile, and deeply personal. They can be worn with a simple white shirt on a quiet afternoon, layered for an evening out, or treasured as an everyday signature. To me, pearls are timeless not because they belong to tradition, but because they transcend it.

Besotted by Pearls began as a personal passion project — a creative escape from the structured rhythm of professional life. While my career shaped one side of me, I found myself constantly drawn toward artistry, design, and the beauty of handcrafted things. What started as a quiet exploration of my artistic side slowly evolved into something far more meaningful: a brand built with intention, emotion, and love for timeless craftsmanship.

Every piece I create is handcrafted using luminous freshwater pearls and authentic 925 sterling silver. I carefully choose pearls for their natural glow, softness, and individuality, embracing the fact that no two pearls are ever exactly alike. Their organic beauty is what makes them special — imperfectly elegant, just like the women who wear them.

My designs are inspired by quiet luxury, soft femininity, nature, poetry, and simplicity. I don’t believe jewelry should overpower; I believe it should become a part of you — subtle, graceful, and enduring.
